Clarke County Warrant Records Clarke County Warrant Records

Clarke County active warrants never appear on a public list, so start by phone, not by search box. The office that answers is whichever court issued the order. The Justice Court handles county traffic and ordinance cases, each town court keeps its own docket, and the Circuit Clerk holds filed criminal cases. No county office posts a roster online. State law enforcement runs a separate system the public cannot open. When you reach the clerk, ask who signed the order. Ask for the exact docket wording, the date it was entered, and the date the office last confirmed it. A name alone settles nothing; the docket is what counts.

Active Warrants in Clarke County

An outstanding warrant in Clarke County is any order the issuing court still treats as live. The court could be Clarke County Justice Court on South Archusa Avenue. It might be one of the five town courts, or the Circuit Court. Each keeps its own answer. A check of official Clarke County, court, and state pages on September 11, 2026 found no searchable roster, no posted active list, and no sheriff warrant page. Even the county's own department index carries no warrant portal at all. That is a finding about websites, nothing more. A phone call to the clerk may tell you more.

What Active Warrant Means in Clarke County

Clarke County courts rarely stamp a file "active." They record events instead. You work out which event still governs. The Tenth Circuit court information page publishes the labels the electronic system uses, and none is a plain status sentence.

Issued
The judge signed process on that date. The date alone does not prove the order is still live.
Executed
An officer carried the process out. A later event can still follow it.
Returned
Paperwork came back to the clerk. Not a dismissal, not a recall.
Recalled or quashed
The court itself changed or ended the process. Only the issuing judge does this.
Verification date
The day a clerk actually checked. Ask for it every time.

How the Clarke County Active Warrant List Works

Clarke County publishes no warrant list, so there is no refresh schedule to check. What exists is a set of dockets with different habits. A Justice Court clerk enters county citations as they arrive. Five town clerks work their own sessions. The circuit docket moved into Mississippi Electronic Courts on August 17, 2020. So flip the question. Instead of asking when a list was updated, ask the Clarke County clerk when the file itself was last touched and whether anything is scheduled next.

Clarke County Warrants Inside NCIC

The warrant database most Clarke County readers picture does exist. It belongs to law enforcement, not the public. The Mississippi Criminal Information Center lists wants and warrants among its functions. Its page describes checks run through NCIC and NLETS by dispatchers and officers, supported by the state justice information system. The same page sets a limit. A positive hit is not probable cause by itself. The agency that entered the record must verify it before anyone acts. No public account exists, and no Clarke County resident can query it directly.

What an Active Warrant Shows

No live Clarke County listing is posted to inspect. The fields below come from Rule 3.2, the circuit docket vocabulary, and the local office map. Use them as a checklist when you call.

Restricted IndicatorSealed or juvenile material is withheld, and a blank field is not a clean field.

Unlisted Clarke County Warrants Still Exist

An empty screen is not a clearance. It is usually a gap between systems, and several ordinary things can leave a live Clarke County order invisible.

  • The matter sits in Justice Court or a town court, neither of which feeds a shared portal
  • The case is sealed or restricted, so the electronic system shows nothing
  • The file predates the 2020 electronic court go-live and exists only on paper
  • The record belongs to a law enforcement database rather than a court docket
  • The case is federal, which leaves the county system entirely

Note: a Clarke County matter can stay open in one office while every other office you call reports nothing at all.

Most-Wanted Lists and Warrant Roundups

Clarke County publishes no most wanted page, and no office here runs an amnesty or warrant roundup. The statewide option is Mississippi Most Wanted. The Bureau of Investigation compiles it with agencies statewide. It launched in July 2021 as a curated fugitive tip program.

Caution: That program is a short curated selection, so a person left off it may still have an open county file, and no name from it is reproduced here.

The Clarke County most wanted page explains how tips are handled and why the program is not a warrant database.

Three Custodians, One Clarke County Warrant

One Clarke County warrant can touch three offices. Each answers a different question, and calling the wrong one wastes a morning.

If Your Name Is on the List

Skip the panic and work the Clarke County sequence. Confirm the court, write down the exact docket wording, ask what the judge requires, and get proof of whatever you do.

Important: Speak with a Mississippi attorney before appearing at any office when the matter is a felony or a capias, because no local source promises a safe walk-in.

Old Clarke County Warrant Files on Paper

How long a file survives and who can see it are separate Clarke County questions. The Mississippi Department of Archives and History municipal schedule, published in January 2024, sets the clocks. Municipal court dockets and minutes are permanent. Case files holding an affidavit, arrest warrant, bond, or payment are kept seven years past disposition. Traffic files last three years past disposition or payment. So a Clarke County town clerk may pull a folder no screen anywhere will display. It says nothing about whether an order is live. Only the issuing court can answer that.
